Epiphany’s Call: The texts this morning suggest a kind of dance pattern of our lives: specifically, how epiphany, the Lord’s selfshowing, leads to calling, and calling to response—again and again, in circling and widening steps.
I suggest the Lord shows himself in epiphany every celebration of Eucharist. What is ours to do? Come to church! Enter into this epiphany of the Lord in his glory. Open your hearts to his coming. Bask in the love and welcome of his face. Turn to stand beside him to view your world from his. And do what you now see evidently needs to be done.
What do you notice that “needs fixed”? What calls you when you turn around to see your world from his? How has being with Jesus given you what you need to respond?
If you're on the Philadelphia Mainline and looking for a church home, you won't find another family like the Church of the Good Samaritan. Come by for one of our services! If you're searching for a place where you belong... you've found it.
