Inerrancy Debate: Is Today’s Bible Still Perfect?

There are two views of inerrancy. A traditional view claims that only the original biblical texts were without error, even though those originals no longer exist, while acknowledging that the current versions contain mistakes from copying. A more flexible view holds that the Bible as it exists today is still inerrant in what it teaches and in its overall message, even if minor textual errors are present.
