Today we have Dr. Darrell Bock and will be discussing his book, "Blasphemy and Exaltation in Judaism: The Charge Against Jesus in Mark 14: 53-65." He was president of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) for 2000–2001, serves as editor-at-large for Christianity Today and is on the board of Chosen People Ministries and Wheaton College. He is a well-known author of over thirty books on biblical topics. Were the claims made by Jesus as the "Son of Man" and coming on the "clouds of heaven" standing at the "right hand of God" blasphemous, and why? Also, at John 8:58 were Jesus's claims of ego eimi an equation to the God of the Old Testament, or can such claims be more expansive in these charges of blasphemy?
