Professor Rachel Muers, Chair of Divinity in the University of Edinburgh, formerly fellow of Girton College, member of Clare College
Rachel Muers is Professor of Divinity in the University of Edinburgh. She previously held academic posts at the Universities of Leeds and Exeter, was the Margaret Smith Research Fellow at Girton College and is a member of Clare College. Her publications include Testimony: Quakerism and Theological Ethics, The Text in Play: Experiments in Reading Scripture (with Mike Higton), Theology on the Menu: Asceticism, Meat and Christian Diet (with David Grumett), Living for the Future: Theological Ethics for Coming Generations and Keeping God’s Silence: Towards a Theological Ethics of Communication. Prof Muers is a current member of the World Council of Churches Faith and Order Commission.
