The Nature of Sin Ft. Dr. Robert A.J. Gagnon
God's design speaks loudly in creation itself. In Romans 1:18-32, Paul reveals a powerful truth: we are without excuse. The Creator's fingerprints are evident everywhere—in the order of the universe, in the complementary design of male and female, in the very structure of our bodies.
When we suppress God's truth and exchange it for lies, we dishonor not only Him but ourselves. God's wrath isn't always a lightning bolt—sometimes it's stepping back and allowing us to be mastered by desires that degrade the image He stamped on us. Yet even in this warning, there's profound love: discipline shows God hasn't given up on us.
Jesus grounded all sexual ethics in Genesis 1:27—"male and female He created them." This isn't about cultural norms or outdated thinking. It's about honoring the Creator's intentional design and finding our true wholeness in Him. True love speaks truth, even when it's hard, because we will all stand before God's throne one day.
