Join us on Saturday, January 31, at 3 p.m., for the next installment of the Kumpuris Distinguished Lecture Series, “Truth Matters: What Unites Us Despite Our Differences,” a conversation with Professor Robert P. George and Dr. Cornel West.

George, a Roman Catholic, is a conservative legal scholar, and West is a democratic socialist philosopher in the progressive Christian tradition. Although they come from different ideologies, they have developed a bond that transcends their differences. Together, they stress the importance of civil dialogue.

They will share personal stories of civil disagreement and political discourse, discuss what they have learned from each other, and explore what it means to be “determined truth-seekers and courageous truth-speakers” in America today.
