Sundays at Six from the Free North - 28th February 2021 - Job 42 - with Dr Jamie Grant

Evening worship from the free North Church, in Bank Street in the heart of Inverness.

Our guest preacher is the academic vice-principal of Highland Theological College, Dr Jamie Grant, a specialist in Hebrew and the Old Testament.

In this service Dr Grant uses the Book of Job and especially the concluding chapter 42, to examine a believing approach to suffering, trials and uncertainty, all in the light of God's character.

Jamie invites us to reject false narratives about God and the world, reminding us of the importance of honest prayer, as we express our daily dependance on God in both good times and evil days. This teaching is applied to life during and after the global pandemic.
