In this episode of Schuman Talks, host Jeff Fountain is joined by author Dr. David Koyzis for an in-depth conversation on Christian political engagement, ideology, and citizenship in today’s world.
Building on Robert Schuman’s vision of a “community of peoples deeply rooted in Christian values,” this discussion explores how faith and politics intersect — and often collide — in contemporary Europe, North America, and beyond.
Dr Koyzis reflects on the core arguments of his three books:
- Political Visions and Illusions (2003/2019)
- We Answer to Another (2014)
- Citizenship Without Illusions (2025)
Dr. David T. Koyzis is an academic political scientist with a PhD in "Government and International Studies" from the University of Notre Dame. He has taught political science at "Redeemer University College: for thirty years, mentoring hundreds of young people who have gone on to contribute to public life in Canada and elsewhere.
