Professor McGrath believes that they can not only be part an intellectually rich life, but that each informs the development of the other. Alister McGrath is the Gresham Professor of Divinity, the Andreos Idreos Professor of Science and Religion at the University of Oxford, and one of the world's most respected theologians. Previously, Professor McGrath was Professor of Theology, Ministry and Education at King's College London (2008-14), and Professor of Historical Theology at the University of Oxford (1999-2008). He has also been the President of the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics since 2006. In line with his unique academic background, Professor McGrath's main area of interest is in the interaction of theology and the sciences. He is actively engaged in the development and defence of natural theology, and in showing that the dialogue between science and religion can be theologically productive and engaging.
