YouTube description

The Anglican Diocese of the Living Word is pleased to bring you Great Anglican Bishops, a series of five short videos to help us understand the role and office of a bishop and to acquaint us with great Anglican bishops of the past. We will release one video every day this week as we approach the consecration of Bishop-elect Marc Steele on Saturday, August 16.

The Rt. Rev. Dr. Ashley Null is the Bishop of North Africa in the Province of Alexandria, theological advisor to several ACNA entities, and a chaplain to elite athletes. He is also an eminent scholar of Archbishop Thomas Cranmer, the architect of the Book of Common Prayer. For this installment of our video series, Bishop Ashley explicates Cranmer's careful use of the Comfortable Words to lure us into the loving embrace of Christ.

The ADLW is a diocese of the Anglican Church in North America. We are comprised of Christians united by a common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a commitment to the trustworthiness and authority of the inerrant Holy Scriptures. As Anglicans, we believe and confess Jesus Christ to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one comes to the Father but by Him, and are fervent in our proclamation of this Gospel.
