Prof. Dr Esther Mombo, church historian, St Paul’s University in Limuru, Kenya came to the World Council of Churches booth at the Kirchentag to talk about the role of the churches in overcoming violence against women, which is the focus of the #ThursdaysinBlack campaign. As vice-moderator of the WCC Commission of Ecumenical Education and Formation she also spoke about the need for theological education.
Prof. Dr Esther Mombo is also part of the panel One World? Ecumenical Voices on the Third Reformation, taking place Thursday, 15.00–18.00 at CityCube, level 1, hall A6, Messe Berlin.
