They Weren't Imitating Christ's Death. They Were Dying It.

"Imitation of Christ" is the language we default to, but Dr Amy Brown Hughes says it doesn't capture what the early church actually believed. Martyrs weren't dying deaths that looked like Jesus's. They were dying the same death, and receiving what he won through it.
