YouTube description
Reno looks at the John Rawls' classic formulation of public reason and critiques our use of it. This public reason, Reno thinks, is far more slippery than usually acknowledged, and it inherently pushes religious voices from the debate. Reno suggests instead that we use a principle of virtuous civility to govern the public debate. Christians and other religious people can engage the public square as themselves in this kind of robust conversation.
