Tragedy is the unescapable reality of being human. Instead of asking ‘why me?’ Vinoth challenges his audience to ask ‘why not me?’ Why should we as Christians expect to be spared of suffering, especially when it seems to be the common lot of humanity?
This is part two of an interview series with Vinoth Ramachandra, the IFES Secretary for Dialogue and Social Engagement. Tom De Crane, a staff member with ICHTUS Netherlands, met with Vinoth over Zoom to discuss his new book, Sarah’s Laughter. In his book, Vinoth reflects upon his own journey with suffering to present an authentic and biblical response to grief. Tom and Vinoth discuss how Christians can embrace suffering as a way to more deeply discover the character of God.
