Sabbatical Lecture by Dr. Brent Waters, Jerre and Mary Joy Stead Professor of Christian Social Ethics The anxieties and uncertainties stemming from dynamic global markets cannot be removed, at least for the foreseeable future. Globalization is a package deal. Enjoying its benefits requires enduring its anxiety, for they are inescapably intertwined and the creativity generated by global markets is predicated on it's destructive capability. This lecture examines some of the principal political and ethical issues posed by globalization, while exploring how the Holy Spirit might be at work in this process.
