November 28, 2018 Willie Jennings, associate professor of systematic theology and Africana studies at Yale Divinity School, gives a lecture at the College of the Holy Cross on "Finding the Essence of Christianity in Racial America." Jennings proposes a spiritual practice that initiates us in a renunciation of whiteness, humility as a learner and a desire for life together that is registered geographically. His talk is one of the Deitchman Family Lectures on Religion and Modernity, presented by the Rev. Michael C. McFarland, S.J. Center for Religion, Ethics and Culture.
