Marking the 60th anniversary of its founding this year, St Cross College, University of Oxford commenced the celebrations with an Opening Event on 17th October 2025, featuring a series of special gatherings including a panel discussion with three of the College’s distinguished Fellows.
The “St Cross at 60” Panel Discussion, held at Pusey House Chapel, offered a thoughtful reflection on the College’s history. The discussion was hosted by Student Committee President Jaid Deborah and featured distinguished Fellows: Professor Diarmaid MacCulloch, Professor Helena Hamerow, and Professor John Barton.
Professor MacCulloch is one of the authors of St Cross College at 50 book, while Professors Hamerow and Barton are long-standing members of the St Cross community. Professor Hamerow previously served as Vice-Master and Professor Barton played a key role in the College’s move to a site in the centre of Oxford.
