Dr. James H. Cone (1938-2018) delivers the second of two lectures for the Oreon E. Scott Lectureship at Christian Theological Seminary on October 24, 1979. The title of his lecture is "Christian Faith and Political Practice," though some sources say it is "Christian Faith and Political Praxis." At the time, Dr. Cone recently had been appointed to the Charles Augustus Briggs Chair in Systematic Theology at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Dr. Edwin Becker, CTS Professor of the Sociology of Religion introduced Dr. Cone.
