http://trinities.org/blog/podcast-81-dr-oliver-crisp-on-the-breadth-of-reformed-tradition/ In his 2014 book Deviant Calvinism, Dr. Oliver Crisp explores the boundaries of Reformed theology by way of various historical theologians. In his view, some, including the North American "New Calvinists," (aka the "young, restless, and Reformed") focus too narrowly on the famous Five Points of Calvinism (famously summarized in the acronym TULIP Total depravity, Unconditional election, Limited atonement, Irresistible grace, and Perseverance of the saints). But just how broad is the tradition? Does it include Anglicans? Arminians? The Anabaptists? In this episode, Dr. Crisp and I discuss these and related questions. Weekly podcast exploring views about the Trinity, and more generally about God and Jesus in Christian theology and philosophy. Debates, interviews, and historical and contemporary perspectives. Hosted by philosopher of religion / analytic theologian Dr. Dale Tuggy. This week's thinking music is "Thanks for Coming" by Josh Woodward. https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Josh_Woodward/Crawford_Street/JoshWoodward-CS-NoVox-11-ThanksForComing http://joshwoodward.com/
