2023 Selwyn Lecture: "Whatever happened to missionary enthusiasm?: The transformation of Protestant globalism since the late nineteenth century." Professor Brian Stanley will address one of the most striking transformations among Anglophone Protestants since Bishop Selwyn's day, the waning enthusiasm for foreign missions. However, instead of calling for a return to discredited models of missions, Prof Stanley will appeal to those from different contexts to explore together what the universality of the gospel might mean.
