A Homily for Good Friday by the Rev'd Dr. Ann Jervis

Today we observe Good Friday.

The Rev'd Dr. Ann Jervis stands at the foot of the cross and asks the same question, over and over: who is this man? The scriptures offer partial answers. Theology offers theories. But Jervis argues that knowing Jesus — really knowing him — matters more than any theory about what his death accomplished. And at the end, she is left with the only answer that holds: he alone is only love.
