Unpublished texts written by John Paul II on marriage are re

April 27, 2009. Unpublished texts written by Karol Wojtyla about marriage and family have been released. The book is called "The beauty and the spirituality of conjugal love.

The John Paul II Institute of Rome presented the book during a meeting between scholars, theologians and experts.

Theres no love without rules, love must be directed and guided by a rule of life that adapts to the dignity of the individual. Theres no rule without spirituality, without a great, high ideal. Theres no spirituality without a home, or without an environment or without a communion of people.

Karol Wojtyla explains that the sanctification of the couple refers to all the dimensions of life, to the ordinary things, to the everyday things that go from morning to night. Thats why the theology of the sacrament of marriage is not a set of things: like duties, prohibitions, devotionsbut a way to live all of that with faith.

Karol Wojtlya wrote these documents in 1962 when he was archbishop of Krakow. He wrote them based on his pastoral experience with a group of young people and married couples, a few years after the Second World War, a time in which it was prohibited to have any form of association.

In this setting, that they called environment" - because during the communist dictatorship it was not possible to call it any other way - within this internal environment, within this experience of communion among people, emerged these rules of life for families that would help young graduates to start their family or professional life to live a Christian experience and to continue it over the years.

The documents were published in Poland in the 1990s but since they didnt receive enough credit, the group of priests decided to reprint the copies so that they serve as a guide to the marriages of XXI century.
