In Light of the World: A Beginner's Guide to Advent, distinguished biblical scholar, Amy-Jill Levine surveys the biblical texts surrounding the story of Jesus' birth. Dr. Levine is the Rabbi Stanley M. Kessler Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace and University Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies, Emerita, Graduate Department of Religion, Divinity School, College of Arts and Science Vanderbilt University.  On December 8 and 15, Aaron Shileny will be leading a two-week Learning Academy class based on the book and an accompanying series of videos.
