Dr. Gavin Ortlund presents "The Role of Beauty in Christian Witness."

The modern world is marked by a profound sense of disenchantment. As Western society has increasingly drifted from traditional sources of transcendence, we find ourselves living within a climate of barrenness, flatness, and isolation. Amidst the challenges this environment poses, it also opens up opportunities for communicating the gospel in fresh ways. Christians in the 21st century may particularly benefit from considering how the beauty of the gospel can strike modern hearts in fresh ways. In this lecture, Gavin Ortlund will diagnose the modern scene and then offer specific strategies for how Christians can respond with the hope of the gospel.
