YouTube description

In this excerpt, Thomas Schreiner reflects on the life of Abraham and the surprising way God’s promises were fulfilled.

Although Abraham received extraordinary promises from God—offspring, land, and blessing—he saw very little of their fulfillment during his lifetime. As Acts 7:5 reminds us, Abraham did not even possess a foot of the land he was promised.

Schreiner highlights a crucial pastoral truth: God’s promises are always true, but they are not always fulfilled in the timing or manner we expect. Like Abraham, believers are called to trust God even when circumstances seem to contradict His promises.
