On Thursday, February 13, at 4:00pm in the Connelly Cinema, Dr. William Cavanaugh, Professor of Catholic Studies and Director of the Center for World Catholicism and Intercultural Theology at DePaul University in Chicago, and Dr. Jay Richards, Research Assistant Professor in the Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America and Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute, will debate "Catholicism and the Morality of Markets." They will address potential conflicts between free market economics and a Catholic understanding of human flourishing, what society might do to ensure our economic life serves the common good, and respond to concerns about growing economic inequality. The debate will be moderated by Villanova's own Dr. Mary Hirschfeld.
