Dr. Powell demonstrated how the story of The Good Samaritan was so provocative in Jesus' day, in the 60's when the Good Samaritan was cast as negro, and could be as divisive today when cast as those in different political camps. He concludes that a neighbor is anyone who needs help, with Americans, Russians and Tanzanians empathizing with different characters in the parable.
