Faith and Theology, the former generally described as responding to God’s word and revelation while the latter as the understanding of faith, bring to fore reflections on the truth of God and the human person. These faith and theological reflections give meaning to the present realities besetting the society and the world even with the particularity of every individual’s context. Thus, it is of great service to the Church and the community when there is an avenue where matters of faith and theology are articulated, deepened, and dialogically discussed.
Drinking from the rich wellsprings of the Scripture, the Apostolic Tradition, the Magisterium, and the lived faith as well as our particular Ignatian tradition and spirituality, the Theology Department of Ateneo de Davao University, in partnership with the Ignatian Spirituality and Formation Office (ISFO), takes the lead in bridging the profound insights of Catholic faith and theology with the existential, communal, and environmental challenges of today through the AdDU Theological Conversation platform.
The theme for the 1st AdDU Theological Conversation is "Moral Life, Virtues, and Covid-19 Pandemic". We invited the premier moral theologian and virtue ethicist, Fr. James Keenan, SJ, as our debut international speaker. This is broadcasted on ISFO’s Facebook Page and YouTube Channel.
