The "Poured Out" series begins with a message on the outpouring of God the Holy Spirit from Dr. Ben Blackwell. Dr. Blackwell serves at HCU as a Visiting Professor of Early Christianity but also serves as the Principal of the Westminster Theological Centre in the UK, innovatively training faithful church leaders for the UK, Europe and beyond. He invited us to consider the third article of the Nicene Creed, which confesses our faith in the Holy Spirit as "the Lord, the Giver of Life." The life of the Holy Spirit within us, poured into all believers, unites us fully to the life of Christ and empowers us to live for something greater than ourselves, poured out for others. We welcome the kingdom of God through the presence and power of his Holy Spirit in our lives.
