Recording of a lecture given by Timothy Gorringe at the Spring Institute for Lived Theology 2006 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Gorringe argues that discussion of the built environment must take into account the countryside and the production of food. He argues as well that there are ecological and agricultural crisis, and that both city and country play an essential part in the ecology of redemption.

Excerpt: “When we’re faced with an ecological crises, it’s not an option to say we’ll all go back and live in caves. We can’t all live in eco-villages or communes. We have to learn how to redeem the city, partly because the city in itself plays a key part in human redemption.”
