In today's Scripture readings, we see the Apostle Peter reporting to the church in Jerusalem his extraordinary vision from the Lord and the command to lay down distinctions between Jews and Gentiles. Through this Peter points to the reconciling love of Christ and shows how Christians can disagree lovingly. In John's Gospel, Jesus says that those who follow him must be known for their love for one another. This love is unafraid to follow wherever the Lord goes and is a love that encompasses all of creationto the praise and glory of God.
