The Glory of the New Creation Isaiah has been described as the fifth gospel because it is so full of the birth, life, death, resurrection, ascension and return of the LORD Jesus Christ. Constantly quoted by Jesus and His apostles, Isaiah provides so much of the theological foundation for the New Testament. In the temple, Isaiah was confronted with the glory of King Jesus, enthroned over all. He lived through the reigns of four different earthly kings, but he had gazed on that earth-shattering glory of the King of kings. Yet, that awesome King of glory, worshiped by the greatest angelic creatures, is Immanuel, born of a human woman.
