Our first Question and Answer Session took place on Thursday 21 July and included questions submitted by donors to our expert panel on several current bioethical questions.
Here, the panel considers current views regarding COVID vaccines. Is the pandemic over?
The expert panel consisted of:
• Prof David Albert Jones, Director of Anscombe Bioethics Centre. He is also Professor of Bioethics at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, Research Fellow at Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford and Vice-Chair, Ministry of Defence Research Ethics Committee.
• Dr Pia Matthews, Senior Lecturer on the MA Bioethics and Medical Law at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, a faculty member of Mater Ecclesiae College, and Director of Quality Assurance and Curriculum Development at Allen Hall Seminary Chelsea. She is a Governor of the Anscombe Bioethics Centre.
• Dr Gavin Jarvis, Associate Professor of Analytical Pharmacology at the School of Medicine, University of Sunderland. He is a Governor of the Anscombe Bioethics Centre.
• Dr Chris Wojtulewicz, Education and Research Officer at the Anscombe Bioethics Centre. He is a Research Fellow of Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford, a Fellow of the Cambridge Centre for the Study of Platonism, and a Free Research Associate at KU Leuven.
