Dr. Joshua Jipp, Associate Professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, sits down with Dr. Botner to discuss his new book, Pauline Theology as a Way of Life: A vision of Human Flourishing in Christ. They discuss the nature of Pauline theology, and the various approaches to it, and then turn to the primary theme of the book: Paul's vision for the "good life," of human flourishing. Jipp puts Paul in conversation with ancient philosophers and modern positive psychologists to show that the Apostle offers a compelling vision for ultimate happiness (participation in Christ) and the means by which humans attain it (Spirit-filled communal living). Here we see that Paul's vision for human flourishing takes place within a unity body with wonderfully diverse members.
