Quakerology Ep 048: Rachel Muers talks to me about the practical ways of Quakers in being together, finding our deep spiritual grounding and communicating to the next generation. We talk about Inner Light compared with Inward Light and how much Quakers remain deeply aware of the presence of God in our lives and in shared worship. Rachel talks about the importance of children's activities and all-age worship that enable children to experience a spirit led life. She coins a new phrase of 'silence adjacent' activities which describes well the kinds of guided practical experiences that children's meetings create and also that I use in prison chaplaincy.
