Dr. Matthew Emerson is the Dean of Hobbs College of Theology and Ministry as well as Professor of Religion at Oklahoma Baptist University. He has authored and co-authored over 20 books including "Christ and the New Creation: A Canonical Approach to the Theology of the New Testament" (Wipf & Stock, 2013), "Between the Cross and the Throne: Reading Revelation" (Lexham Press, 2016), "The Story of Scripture: An Introduction to Biblical Theology" (B&H Academic, 2017), and the book discussed in this interview, "He Descended to the Dead: An Evangelical Theology of Holy Saturday" (IVP Academic, 2019).
