Karen Swallow Prior spent 21 years teaching English at Liberty University — the world's largest evangelical university. She's a PhD in English literature, a former seminary professor, and a lifelong evangelical who loves the movement enough to tell the truth about it.

Her book The Evangelical Imagination asks a question that sounds simple but runs very deep: how much of what we call "biblical Christianity" is actually just Victorian culture wearing a cross?
