A clip from the Theology Lab interview with Stanley Hauerwas and Jonathan Tran. Hauerwas and Tran get at the provocative question, should Christians vote? One of Hauerwas' students, M. Baxter, claims (with some wit), don't vote, it just encourages them. But really, what's behind this question? Or rather, what questions does it lead Christians to ask about their own involvement and positions towards politics, and what it means to bring a fully reflective idea of love for God and neighbor and how to measure that against relationship to politics. The question is meant to get us to think more deeply about what it means to be political and Christian.
