A-J Levine, who happens to be an orthodox Jew, serves as Professor of New Testament at Vanderbilt University. In this clip from "Saving Jesus," Levine notes that divine births were a dime a dozen in antiquity and that, just perhaps, the evangelist Matthew was mocking the tradition in his tale of Jesus' birth.
