How to participate in the Kingdom of Heaven: according to John the Baptist
As we start to prepare for Christmas Dr Freddy Hedley takes a look at John the Baptist. We see how the gospel of Matthew moves us from prophetic expectation, to future hope. Whilst the Pharisees thought the kingdom of heaven would only come once God's people were clean enough, the Baptist calls people to participate in a kingdom of Heaven which is already available to touch now, and in participation empowered by the Spirit, God's people can be ready to recognize Jesus, God living with us.
