Christianity should have failed.

History is full of dead leaders whose ideas died with them.

A movement survives when there is a reason for it to continue.

The disciples had every reason to hide and no reason to keep going after the crucifixion.

Something specific changed their minds and gave them the confidence to face execution themselves.

This is a matter of looking at the facts and seeing which explanation actually fits the evidence.
