This is the plenary address by Dr. Madison Pierce, titled "The Trinity and New Testament Quotations of Scripture" for Sterling College's 2020/21 annual Theology and Ministry Department Conference.
Each year, the Theology and Ministry Department hosts a conference to showcase Sterling College faculty scholarship and to host a noted scholar from another institution, who presents a plenary address and engages students in campus. This year's conference was held remotely by Zoom because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This year's plenary speaker is Dr. Madison Pierce (PhD Durham University), who is Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She is the author of "Divine Discourse in the Epistle to the Hebrews" (Cambridge University Press, 2020), the editor of "Muted Voices of the New Testament" (T&T Clark, 2017), and has contributed chapters on Scripture's use in the doctrine of the Trinity to "Retrieving Eternal Generation" (Zondervan, 2017) and "Trinity without Hierarchy" (Kregel Academic, 2019).
