May 17, 2016 – London ExCel CRE –“ Martin Luther’s Insights” – Rt. Revd. Dr. Graham Tomlin
The Christian Resource Exhibition at the London ExCel, May 17 thru 20, 2016, had a number of Christian Speaker topics from various faiths in the United Kingdom. The first Lutheran topic was from the Rt. Revd. Dr. Graham Tomlin, Bishop of Kensington. He spoke on May 17th and his topic was “Martin Luther’s Insights,” and he explores Martin Luther’s insights on issues such as the problem of suffering personal identity, and the relationship between politics and the church. This is the first of four Lutheran speakers from the Christian Resource Exhibition in London from May 17 thru 19.
Next week look for Dr. Robert Kolb, (Emeritus) from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, a gifted scholar, and his topic will be “Martin Luther, Confessor of God’s Enduring Word.” Martin Luther redefined what it means to be Christian: to receive one’s identity and existence from God through his re-creative word. Luther believed the Holy Spirit is present, bestowing power to live the God-pleasing life.
