In this episode, I got to sit down for a chat with Dr. R. Scott Clark, Professor of Church History at Westminster Seminary, California. His book "Recovering the Reformed Confession" was a significant influence and help to me as I was investigating Reformed theology over a decade ago.
He was kind enough to explain the biblical basis for confessions of faith, how confessions related to the sufficiency of Scripture, gave an excellent overview of archetypal and ectypal theology and explained the role our confessions and catechisms play in Reformed piety.
