Can We Trust the Bible? A Critical Conversation with Dr. Darrell Bock

In today’s episode, I sit down with New Testament scholar Dr. Darrell L. Bock to discuss some of the most debated questions surrounding Isaiah 53, the resurrection of Jesus, and the doctrine of biblical inerrancy.

We explore the interpretive tensions around Isaiah 53—whether the suffering servant should be understood corporately or individually, whether Jeremiah fits the prophetic imagery, and how Paul’s application of servant language to himself and Barnabas shapes our understanding.

From there, we turn to the historical foundations of the resurrection. Dr. Bock walks us through the data historians—including skeptical scholars—must grapple with, the differences among the Gospel resurrection narratives, and the alternative explanations often proposed.
