Rev. Dr. Soong Chan Rah visited SPU campus on January 31st 2023 did both a lecture and panel discussion with local ministry leaders in Upper Gwinn Commons. This event focused on his recent co-authored publication Unsettling Truths: The Ongoing, Dehumanizing Legacy of the Doctrine of Discovery. Rev. Dr. Rah and Rev. Mark Charles explore the history and context of the Doctrine of Discovery from it's earliest roots in the early church to present-day manifestations. This event was co-sponsored by Pivot Northwest Research, University Ministries, Allen Perkins Center and School of Theology.
