Matt Lynch helpfully points out that the depictions of God throughout Scripture is the same triune divine being. If God is one being, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Spirit, then it is impossible to position God as seen in one part of the Bible against another. The God who ultimately will destroy his enemies is the same God who sacrificially died on the cross. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
