Phillip Blond, John Milbank, and Adrian Pabst argue that it is the Christian social vision that represents a genuine 'third way' over against the bankrupt politics of the left and the right, beyond the welfare state and the supposedly unbridled free market. Phillip Blond is political philosopher and Anglican theologian. Blond studied theology with John Milbank at the University of Cambridge. Adrian Pabst studied economics at Cambridge, European Studies at the LSE and political philosophy in Paris. He then completed his doctoral dissertation on the philosophical question of individuation and the political problem of individuality at Cambridge (2002-2006).
