The preacher was Donald Macleod who was professor of systematic theology at the Free Church College - now Edinburgh Theological Seminary (ETS). There were two series of lectures at Falkirk Free Church under the heading "Crises of the Christ" where major events in Jesus' life were studied usually from Mark's Gospel.
