How do you live your faith in your day-to-day work life when the job you do is actually all about your faith? In this talk offered as part of the Young Catholic Professionals of Chicago's speaker series, William T. (Bill) Cavanaugh, professor of Catholic studies and director of CWCIT at DePaul University, shares his own personal take on this question. He discusses his research and teaching, how he engages with the global Church, and how his Catholic faith has been changed and deepened by his work.

Dr. Cavanaugh holds an MA from Cambridge University in England and a PhD from Duke University. His research focuses on the Church’s encounter with social, political, and economic realities. The author of 9 books—most recently, "The Uses of Idolatry" (Oxford University Press, 2024)—he is editor of 8 more and co-editor of the journal "Modern Theology." He has lectured on 6 continents and has been published in 19 languages.
